Every Child Can Be A Hero

Today, Jan 26, is Australia Day. Back in 1788, as a ship reached Sydney Cove, Port Jackson (now is called Sydney Harbour) after having sailed for well 8 months, a new country named Australia was born. Despite the fact that the original residents came from bottom society, after a period of over 200 years, she has gradually become a prosperous and charming country.?

As I'm at the moment busy preparing for a forthcoming language test, I finally decided not to go to downtown to watch the overwhelming parade and the splendid firework show. Anyway, I really appreciated Michael's offer... What was stunning was that on the way to the bus stop, a magical voice floated from the not far-away hillside and it turned out to be a celebration site of the local council Hills Shire. I felt like a lucky dog, so why not take the chance and have a look on such a special day?

The normal tranquil open place has totally changed into a lively event spot and apart from the stage area where people could enjoy watching singing and dancing performance, there were numerous play areas specially for children's entertainment as well as a variety of snack stands to satisfy visitors' stomachs. I roamed around for a while until it was finally time for starting off.

I told myself, every child can be a hero, and one day I'll become a citizen belonging to this wonderful continent. Until that time I would feel proud and natural enough to join this amazing moment. And to achieve this goal, every effort is worthwhile because I enjoy the fighting process and I deserve a happy end.
