空氣里到處都飄著戀愛的氣息，又是一年七夕時(shí)。除了吃飯，看電影，或許也是比拼個(gè)人才情的時(shí)候。
所謂平時(shí)不努力，老二徒傷悲。真到要表達(dá)自我浪漫情懷的時(shí)候，是不是發(fā)現(xiàn)自己腦袋一片空白，連說點(diǎn)像樣的情話都很難，真是書到用時(shí)方恨少。
想成為一個(gè)浪漫大師，現(xiàn)在惡補(bǔ)還來得及。先來讀讀蘇格蘭農(nóng)民詩人彭斯膾炙人口的愛情詩A Red, Red Rose (一朵嬌艷的紅玫瑰)，譯者王佐良。

寫愛情詩的高手無數(shù)，但知行合一，從一而終的太少，有些詩人不僅濫情之至，還男女通吃，比如拜倫。但說到做到的人也不是沒有，讓我相當(dāng)佩服的是中國翻譯家朱生豪，他寫得了舊體：
不須耳鬢常廝伴，一笑低頭意已傾。
新詩亦可信手拈來：
愛到深處，不想過去，只想望未來。
That affection that goth into great depth
will put all that pass’d into oblivion,
And count the days t’come
in its keenest breath.

嗯，沒錯(cuò)，看上去屋頂缺了幾塊板。
今天的漫畫取材《Real Life Adventures》，?這個(gè)連載主要以單版（panel）漫畫的形式出現(xiàn)，內(nèi)容以不同人的癖好（foible）為切入點(diǎn)，進(jìn)行深入探討，從而傳達(dá)一種幽默。
重點(diǎn)表達(dá)是snow on the roof, fire in the furnace。Snow on the roof,?屋頂上有雪。人的屋頂在哪呢？頭部。snow on the roof其實(shí)指grey hair，白發(fā)。
Furnace?字面意思指爐子，身體的爐子在哪里？沒錯(cuò)，就是人體的腰部，換個(gè)詞就是loin?（sex drive）。Fire in the furnace , 爐中有火，暗指腰部還是有很多欲火，有很多激情。
因此，snow on the roof, fire in the furnace是一個(gè)非常戲謔的說法，意指盡管頭頂上已白發(fā)蒼蒼，但內(nèi)心還富有激情。 所謂人老心不老。一個(gè)變形的說法是：snow on the roof, fire in the heart.
Shingle一詞表示“房屋板”，女士說了句：it looks like the roof is missing some shingles,?這看上去似乎屋頂缺了一些屋板呀。很明顯，女士是看著這位半禿的男士開玩笑呢。
愛情并非只屬于帥哥靚女，濁男暖女皆有機(jī)會(huì)不是！
