But the secret of good writing is to strip every sentence to its cleanest components.Every word that serves no function，every 么long word that could be a short word，every adverb that carries the same meaning that's already in the verb，every passive construction that leaves the reader unsure of who is doing what—these are the thousand and one adulterants that weaken the strength of a sentence.

今天的兩個(gè)章節(jié)我讀了兩遍，第一遍讓我初步熟悉了前兩個(gè)章節(jié)的概況，第二遍讓我能夠?qū)⒆约旱囊恍┫敕ê臀恼聝?nèi)容相結(jié)合。

同樣的，兩次的翻閱也讓我對(duì)這段話有了不同的想法。

真正的文字愛好者喜歡咬文嚼字，更偏向于對(duì)文字的鉆研，而真正的寫作者，更善于用精簡的文字將復(fù)雜問題簡單陳述，言簡意賅。恰恰讓我想起有幾年興起的一些文學(xué)作品里往往出現(xiàn)更多的是咬文嚼字的功夫，把冠冕堂皇的辭藻當(dāng)作寫作功底的展現(xiàn)，也許就是一種對(duì)寫作不夠深刻的認(rèn)識(shí)吧。今天讀至此，也用這段話警醒自己，好好提高寫作功夫，類比其他的事情亦是如此，應(yīng)真正做到掌握精髓，而不是流于表面。

我想起白天工作時(shí)收到外國客戶的郵件回復(fù)，很明顯的與自己帶有中式思維的Chinglish對(duì)比鮮明。以此激勵(lì)自己，好好讀完這本書，好好學(xué)習(xí)寫作！
