When Your Loved Ones Love The Food You Make

I roasted some lamb ribs for dinner. I followed a couple of recipes to try to make it like the kind that I love back in China, with lots of cumin and spices. It was good, but it still a bit far from ideal. I was a little down when I tasted it, thinking how it can be better next time.

I called Yanbin for dinner. He sat down and started swallowing those lamb ribs. Usually we chatted during dinner, but for at least five minutes, he was totally focused on taking meat from those ribs and eating, eating, eating. Ha! That made my day, actually. I didn't expect him to eat like that, given he's more of a vegetable guy. It felt soooooo good when your loved ones love the food you make for them.
