寫在前面的話
打卡分享老友記學(xué)習(xí)已經(jīng)到第八期了，最開(kāi)始想要做這個(gè)分享的目的有兩個(gè)。第一個(gè)是督促自己學(xué)習(xí)，通過(guò)讓更多的人來(lái)見(jiàn)證，逼自己每天更新。第二個(gè)目的是分享?？催^(guò)很多大神的書，都講到了分享的重要性。知識(shí)的分享不僅不會(huì)讓分享者失去什么，反而可以讓其更好地掌握和應(yīng)用這些知識(shí)。
于是我開(kāi)始走上了學(xué)習(xí)和分享老友記完整英語(yǔ)字幕，翻譯和解析的道路。記得有一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)友曾經(jīng)評(píng)論我說(shuō)，是給自己挖了一個(gè)大坑，還說(shuō)天涯上曾經(jīng)有人想這樣做過(guò)，但是沒(méi)有堅(jiān)持下來(lái)。我不敢說(shuō)自己會(huì)一直堅(jiān)持下去，但是我會(huì)一直盡全力去做。
本期分享
第一季第一集的老友記的翻譯和解析已經(jīng)完全結(jié)束了。前邊的幾期我也分享過(guò)如何去真正掌握一集老友記 我是如何看老友記學(xué)英語(yǔ)的 - 我的四步學(xué)習(xí)法分享 （006），如何應(yīng)用到生活當(dāng)中看老友記學(xué)英語(yǔ) (007) - 如何把英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)輕松融入到日常生活中去，這一期我要分享一下真正理解，熟記，融會(huì)貫通一集老友記到底會(huì)產(chǎn)生什么樣的效果。
一 可以開(kāi)口就來(lái)最基本的口語(yǔ)
在開(kāi)始學(xué)習(xí)老友記之前我學(xué)英語(yǔ)的方式是每天聽(tīng)VOA， BBC等的實(shí)時(shí)英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力，遇到生詞記下來(lái)，定期復(fù)習(xí)。我自己都覺(jué)得自己很努力，想當(dāng)然地以為就這樣學(xué)下去一定會(huì)進(jìn)步很快。后來(lái)發(fā)生了一件事，徹底顛覆了我的想法。
有一次我們美國(guó)的客戶來(lái)中國(guó)訪問(wèn)，有一天晚上領(lǐng)導(dǎo)安排我們幾個(gè)陪客戶吃飯。結(jié)果飯桌上看其他同事都和客戶用英語(yǔ)流利地侃侃而談，我卻一句話都插不上。因?yàn)槲业哪X子里只有一個(gè)一個(gè)的生詞，而日常口語(yǔ)用語(yǔ)竟然一句話都找不出來(lái)。
這件事情讓我印象特別深刻，不僅是因?yàn)楫?dāng)時(shí)飯桌上的尷尬， 更因?yàn)槲野l(fā)現(xiàn)自己的學(xué)習(xí)方法可能真的有問(wèn)題。于是我開(kāi)始思考和探索最實(shí)用和用效的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)方式，才一路走到了這里，選擇了最貼近我們?nèi)粘Ｉ畹睦嫌延涀鳛榻滩膩?lái)學(xué)習(xí)。
后來(lái)按照我用我分享過(guò)的方法學(xué)習(xí)完一整集以后，我突然發(fā)現(xiàn)自己可以開(kāi)口就來(lái)一些最基本的生活用語(yǔ)了。比如說(shuō)，gonna, wanna, gotta的用法，這些都是母語(yǔ)者最最常用的單詞，但是由于是非正式的口語(yǔ)單詞，所以我們的教材和一些聽(tīng)力網(wǎng)站上是不會(huì)有的。
但是老友記上所有的用語(yǔ)都是最經(jīng)典和常用的表達(dá)方式，過(guò)了這么多年依然歷久彌新，這一點(diǎn)我在第一期的分享和我一起看老友記學(xué)英語(yǔ)吧 - 從第一季第一集開(kāi)始 （001）中也提到過(guò)。
二 極大地提高了我的發(fā)音
我以前也問(wèn)過(guò)一個(gè)我們公司的老外同事，該如何提高自己的口語(yǔ)發(fā)音，他給的建議是堅(jiān)持聽(tīng)，創(chuàng)造一個(gè)聽(tīng)覺(jué)上的語(yǔ)言環(huán)境。他還給我舉了一個(gè)他的一個(gè)法國(guó)朋友通過(guò)聽(tīng)英文廣播發(fā)音特別棒的例子。
我開(kāi)始學(xué)習(xí)老友記以來(lái)，每一集基本上會(huì)重復(fù)聽(tīng)很多很多遍，其中有些表達(dá)的語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)幾乎可以很輕松地模仿下來(lái)，所以當(dāng)我說(shuō)其它的英語(yǔ)的時(shí)候，就會(huì)不自覺(jué)地套用了劇中人物的語(yǔ)音和語(yǔ)調(diào)， 會(huì)讓人聽(tīng)起來(lái)比較地道一些。
三 豐富了我的詞匯量和情景用語(yǔ)
熟練掌握一集老友記就相當(dāng)于是把自己代入到他們的生活場(chǎng)景中去，在以后的生活中如果遇到了類似的場(chǎng)景就可以把對(duì)應(yīng)的表達(dá)經(jīng)過(guò)轉(zhuǎn)換為己所用。
舉兩個(gè)我遇到的例子， 有一次組里的同事在討論自己的相親經(jīng)歷，于是談到了遇到的各種各樣的奇葩男，后來(lái)就談到了英語(yǔ)中變態(tài)男，奇葩男怎么說(shuō)。我馬上想到了老友記有一集是三個(gè)女生舉辦了一個(gè)燒毀前男友相關(guān)的東西的儀式。其實(shí)有很多描寫奇葩男的用法，如creepy guy, geek，jerk等等。
第二個(gè)是在一個(gè)飯桌上，歡迎一個(gè)美國(guó)新同事，我們的一個(gè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)在介紹中國(guó)人的餐桌文化，她想表達(dá)喝酒前都要說(shuō)幾句，但說(shuō)了半天沒(méi)說(shuō)明白，我馬上想到了老友記中出現(xiàn)的toast這個(gè)詞，隨口說(shuō)了出來(lái)，老外同事表示聽(tīng)懂了。
接下來(lái)是老友記第一集最后部分的譯文和解析
Monica:Oh wait,wait, unless you happened to catch the Reruns' production of Pinocchio, at the little theater in the park.
譯文：哦，等等，除非你碰巧在公園的小劇場(chǎng)了看了皮諾曹的重播。
解析和應(yīng)用：rerun再開(kāi)動(dòng)；重播的影片；重新上映。這里我們可以想到以前每個(gè)暑假都會(huì)重播的西游記啊。
Joey:Look, it wasa job all right?

Joey:I will nottake this abuse. (Walks to the door and opens it to leave.)

解析和應(yīng)用：abuse的用法：Child abuse虐待兒童；physical abuse軀體虐待

解析和應(yīng)用：如果有人惹到你了也可以說(shuō)“you are a dead man”。后邊一集中還有一個(gè)類似的表達(dá)方式，Chandler喜歡上了一個(gè)女孩，天天等她電話，Monica發(fā)出電話的聲音逗他，他說(shuō)“Hell is filled with people like you.”
Monica:So how youdoing today? Did you sleep okay? Talk to Barry? I can't stop smiling.
譯文：今天感覺(jué)如何？睡得還好吧？和巴瑞通過(guò)電話嗎？我無(wú)法停止笑。
Rachel:I can seethat. You look like you slept with a hanger in your mouth.
譯文：我看得出來(lái)。你這樣子像是昨晚口中含著衣架睡的覺(jué)。
解析和應(yīng)用：sleep with a hanger in your mouth,這是一個(gè)非常形象的比喻。大家可能都有這種感覺(jué)，剛開(kāi)始談戀愛(ài)的時(shí)候真的可以不由自主地笑起來(lái)。所以這里是非常貼和生活情境的。
Monica:I know, he'sjust so, so... Do you remember you and Tony DeMarco?
Rachel:Oh, yeah.
Monica:Well, it'slike that. With feelings.

解析和應(yīng)用：兩個(gè)用法我們可以學(xué)習(xí)到，Are you in trouble和big time. Are you in trouble,你惹上大事了，這里是一種比喻，形容遇到真命天子了。big time,大大地，很大程度上。如表達(dá)你真是幫了我大忙，就可以說(shuō)，You helped mebig time.

解釋和應(yīng)用：it was a line!很多人會(huì)問(wèn)這個(gè)line是不是錯(cuò)了，應(yīng)該是lie。我也困惑過(guò)，后來(lái)找到合理的解釋應(yīng)該是：line有“臺(tái)詞”的意思，在加上這句話是joey說(shuō)的，他是個(gè)演員，所以這里的line是臺(tái)詞的意思，而不是謊言。也就是Paul對(duì)每個(gè)人都會(huì)這么說(shuō)。
Ross:I assumewe're looking for an answer more sophisticated than 'to get you into bed'.
Monica:I hatemen! ?I hate men!
譯文：我想你在找一個(gè)比”設(shè)法騙你上床”更復(fù)雜的答案。

解釋和應(yīng)用：sophisticated復(fù)雜的，記得我學(xué)完這個(gè)單詞的第二天上班的時(shí)候開(kāi)會(huì)，我們領(lǐng)導(dǎo)就用到了這個(gè)詞，我的后背是一身冷汗，要是早一天不明白他的意思就完了。

1.be trained for nothing -什么都不會(huì)，不學(xué)無(wú)術(shù)。讀書的時(shí)候班上總有幾個(gè)后進(jìn)生被老師罵成be trained for nothing。
2. be laughed out of表現(xiàn)太差，太出丑，被笑話

譯文：不過(guò)你卻異常興奮。
換成是你，你也會(huì)一樣。如果你遇見(jiàn)John and David的皮靴打五折。

解釋和應(yīng)用：upbeat樂(lè)觀的；向上的，Be an upbeatperson, listen to some upbeat music.
